With a focus on environmental sustainability, the YHA Raglan hostel has unique backpacker accommodation in a recycled Railway Carriage or 'off the grid' eco-living in our brand new Tipi Retreat or contemporary Eco Baches. Soak up the all day sun while you take in the expansive sea views from our spacious grounds or watch the sunset upon the expansive Tasman Sea as it meets the northwestern coast and experience the enchanting twilight views of Raglan’s township encircled by the Whaingaroa Harbour.

A 45 minute drive west of Hamilton and a 2 hour drive south of Auckland, Raglan is situated on the beautiful west coast of the North Island in New Zealand, and is now one of New Zealand's most popular places to visit and live.

How to get there...

Car
Follow state highway 23 from Hamilton. Raglan is 48km from Hamilton (approx 40 minutes drive) Continue along same road until you get to the town centre. Turn left at Wainui Road, follow road for 6km, on left-hand side you will see blue Solscape sign follow driveway up. We are 611 Wainui Road.
Bus/Shuttle
SHUTTLE - call Raglan Shuttle Company on 0800 887327873 (0800turf2surf)

BUS - Take Raglan bus number 23 from Hamilton arrive in Raglan town centre. (On weekends the bus continues to Manu Bay, ask driver to drop you at Solscape). Bus fare is $7.30. A pick up service from Raglan town to Solscape is available upon request, call 07)825 8268.
Plane
Arrive Hamilton airport or Auckland airport, arrange shuttle from there to Raglan.
Train
Arrive Frankton (Hamilton) railway station. Arrange shuttle from there to Raglan or take Hamilton bus number 3 or DD from Killarney Road to Hamilton transport Centre ($2.60) and then take bus number 23 from Hamilton to Raglan ($7.30).
